for Singing Lessons And Vocal Coaching
Lynn
McGown is a singer an innovative vocal coach, NLP
Practitioner,and dynamic workshop leader. She is also co-owner
of Celtic Traditions, a music/retail store.
She has
been singing all her life, professionally for 30 years. She has
sung and given vocal and singing workshops at International
Festivals,she has sung at Vancouver Folk
Festival lmany
times, sang in concerts,at social and
environmental benefits,for schools,and recently gave a 4
day residential workshop at Hollyhock
education retreat centre on Cortes Island.
Lynn's
love and passion for supporting people in singing and finding their
voice is contagious. She believes voice work is a portal to
self-empowerment, healing, and balance in body, mind and spirit.
Her approach to voice is one of giving the classical nuts and
bolts of vocal techniques and body voice exercises always with the
knowledge that discovery of your voice is a coming home to the
deepest part of yourself. She has worked with thousands of men
and women in individual sessions and workshops helping them to find
and express the most profound level of their being through voice
and the joy of singing.
Lynn
has
studied Neuro-linguistic Programming through Erickson
College, Life
Coaching through the Coaches Training
Institute, and is a
graduate of Landmark Education. Many times she has both sung and
been interviewed live on CBC radio, Radio Canada, and Seattle's
CRAB radio and other North American media outlets.
Lynn's
practice of yoga, meditation, and the teachings of Eckhart Tolle`s Power of Now and
Awakening to the New Earth, bring a spiritual depth to her
work as a natural voice practitioner.
She
is the
co-founder of the Jericho Folk Club,now in its 18 th year, as
a well attended showcase for accomplished local and
international musicians.
She has
organised a series of concerts in her home and at her music school
and retail store Celtic Traditions.
Lynn loves
to run, dance, bicycle, ski, and swims in the ocean near her home
in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
